Before the pandemic, God laid the groundwork for Frontiers teams to launch new digital ministries.

Several teams had already been using social media successfully to share the Gospel with Muslims, find men and women eager to learn about Jesus, and start new Bible studies. These teams began equipping other Frontiers workers to create more digital outreaches.

As a result, when countries went into lockdown, many teams were ready to launch online ministries.

Frontiers’ team of digital specialists has also provided field workers with training on how to:

  • Use mobile technology in ministry
  • Create evangelistic videos for Facebook
  • Develop digital strategies to expand circles of contacts among Muslims during social distancing
  • Design apps for widespread distribution of biblical content

A Frontiers team in Central Asia recently developed an app that allows Muslims to hear Bible stories in their local language. The app has hundreds of registered users and has been downloaded more than 50,000 times.

Join us in praising God for digital strategies that use social media and apps to bring the Gospel into Muslim homes.
