The Face of the Untold at Urbana 18

Perhaps you saw her, with her sparkling gray eyes and infectious smile framed by a flower-printed headscarf.

You watched as she emerged slowly in the vast hall, her face a picture of calm amid a sea of activity.

Her name is Halima, and she came to life on a Frontiers worker’s canvas over the course of Urbana 18, a five-day student mission conference.

Halima represents those who will never have the chance to hear the Gospel unless someone goes and shares it with them. In the words of John Wesley, she’s the face of the untold millions who are still untold.

Urbana 18 challenged you and 11,000 other students to surrender your futures to Jesus and to seek His calling for your lives.

Perhaps you’re among the many who looked into Halima’s welcoming face at the end of the conference, sensing God’s invitation: To go to the hundreds of millions like her—Muslims all around the world—who’ve never been told the Good News about Jesus Christ.

Now you’re home. You’re well into the new year. But you can’t shake how God turned your gaze to the deep darkness that remains in the world. You see Halima’s welcoming face again. Untold millions are still untold.

Hundreds of millions of Muslims will never have the chance to hear the Gospel unless someone goes and shares it with them.

God extends His hand to you. Surrender to Him your dreams and plans. Jump in and accept His invitation; receive His gifts of faith and great courage, for these are the means by which He’ll help you to step into the unknown adventures that accompany life with Jesus.
