Church Engagement Representative

Reports to: Director or Church Engagement for US Latino Churches

Classification: Full-time, non-exempt

Location: Austin, Texas

Summary:

Frontiers is a Christian, faith-based non-profit working with churches to send their workers overseas. The Church Engagement Representative plays a crucial role in advancing this mission by helping to inspire and equip individuals and churches for effective engagement in global and local missions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively communicate Frontiers mission and values to individuals, churches, and at events.
  • Catalyze individuals and churches to play a part in the mission.
  • Work in partnership with churches and other strategic partners to coach, mentor, and disciple potential candidates in spiritual growth and missional engagement, with the goal to move them toward a Long-Term Application and long-term field effectiveness.
  • Perform required administrative tasks of reporting.
  • Actively engage in and demonstrate effective ministry to Muslim communities within a local context.
  • Raise 100% support to cover funding for this position (i.e. salary, benefits, retirement, ministry related expenses).

  • Able to articulate complex ideas clearly and inspire others.
  • Capable of thinking strategically and engaging with various stakeholders effectively
  • Adept at cross-cultural communication and adaptable to diverse ministry contexts
  • Skilled in listening attentively to truly understand the needs and perspectives of others.
  • Have a heart for the unreached.
  • Demonstrated active participation in a local church.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year experience in Mobilization and/or Disciplemaking: prior experience in mission mobilization and /or disciplemaking in the context of the local church or field preferred.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
  • Location in Austin, TX, so willing to relocate if not in area.
